Have a look at these cute, tiny tubes of Lip Tints from Bobbi Brown. I am in love with these lip tints already. I tend to lose my lipstick lid in my bag all the time and it becomes quite frustrating to sieve through the clutter in my bag. With these small tubes, its quite handy. 

But this is just perfect and its tiny size allows me to carry it in my purse.

There are four shades: Champagne Glitter, Rosy, Baby Pink Glitter & Burnt Sugar Shimmer. I have the first three shades and they worked well for me. 

The lip tints have SPF 15 and have a peppermint scent to it. It is thick in consistency unlike lip glosses and is a bit sticky. So when i am at the beach or am on a bike, my flowing hair sticks on to my Bobbi Brown lip tints!! The consistency could have been a bit non sticky. These lip tints can be used over a lipstick or on bare lips. It provides good coverage and the shimmer stays for quite some time. These tubes have a slant tip, making it easy for application. The set of four costs around $30. 

My thoughts:

I liked the packaging and the long lasting effect of these lip tints. However, it doesn't show up very well on wheatish skin tones. But overall, i would definitely recommend it.

My relatives came down from the US and got me this wonderful product from Aveda. Aveda's Shampure Shampoo comes in a very modest packaging which screams "Go Green". To begin with, this smells great. It doesnt smell like our regular shampoo, kinda organic. I couldnt wait to use it. I have straight hair and my hair behaves very well usually. But the humidity in the air had caused my hair to go limp. So i opted for Aveda Shampure which said that it is a pure, gentle daily shampoo—with Morikue^TM protein. It also claimed to cleanse and fortify any type of hair with one of Aveda's original aromas: a calming mix of 25 pure flower and plant essences.It also mentioned that it is suitable for all hair types. Lovely!

After i washed my hair with Shampure , trust me , my hair felt like silk. Without a conditioner, my hair felt smooth and smelled divine.Usually after shampooing, since i have fine straight hair, my hair looks as if some one just ran a blower onto it. But after using Aveda Shampure, my hair looked quite settled. I would highly recommend this to anyone with dry hair & scalp. Since it contains plant extracts, it is not harsh on the hair and hence can be used daily.

The bottle in the picture above is of 250ml and costs around $10.50. There are many offers on their website where you can club it with a conditioner too. I am a fan of Shampure now and i highly recommend it.

Bath & Body Works Body Lotion

I am crazy about B&Bw's body lotions. They are heavenly and come in a variety of body lotions to choose from. I normally get it from abroad and have been using it for quite some time. From among their large collection of lotions, I have tried the signature collection namely Japanese Cherry Blossom, Sweet Pea, Dancing Waters,Dark Kiss, Forever Sunshine...phew!!

I particularly like Dark Kiss and Dancing Waters, the former has a strong yet pleasant scent while the latter is a bit mild. The best part about this is, it smells divine and the fragrance doesnt leave you for a long time. The rich texture of the lotion is creamy yet non oily. It contains Vit E and thus keeps your skin moisturised. Thus it is perfect for daily use.It is priced at 10 dollars and the best part is the numerous discounts and offers available at Bath & Body Works. There is a Buy three, Get two free offer which is quite pocket friendly and can serve as a good choice for gifting it to someone.

I am all set to try out their Citrus pack of body lotions. Meanwhile indulge yourself! :)

Wella Kolestint - A review

I love colored hair although I have never tried it on my own. May be I am not prepared yet and when it comes to hair, I am finicky. So when I came across a new hair product, I thought of trying it on my mom in laws' hair. She usually loves to touch up her hair and this came as a perfect and pleasant surprise. A neatly packed box containing Wella Kolestint was delivered to my door. I didnt waste any time and soon got down to business.

The USP of the product as the carton claims is long lasting effect. I definitely wanted to check on this on. My shade was Dark Brown. There are around 12 colours under the Dark , Medium & Light grades. My mom in law has hair past her shoulders are pretty good for her age. So I assume that this pack will last for two reps.
The box contains:

    

• A pre color hair product
• Creme Developer
• Creme based oxidation hair dye (colour creme)
• After color intense shine Conditioner
• A pair of gloves

The carton also has a warning stating that it may irritate sensitive skin. So please do test it on a patch of skin before experimenting with hair colour.

• To start with the process , the pre colouration treatment contains Almond extracts and it helps in easy absorption of the colour. This is something new which I have never seen in any other hair colour.

• Apply a liitle vaseline gel around your hair line to avoid staining. Easy instructions are given on the carton for the consumer.

• I used a brush for easy application. It is more comfortable rather than applying directly from the bottle. Also you have better control on the quantity used.

And voila!!! A drastic and a pleasant change was seen and I made my mom in law happy!! Yippeee...

Some plus points:

• It is very easy to use

• Doesnt drip

• The pre application treatment helps better absorption

• Hair looks more shiny and smooth giving it a rich colour

• Good quantity as compared to other colours 

The negatives:

• I feel the colour wears out quicker than other hair colours

Other than this I think the overall effect given by the product is too good.

The damage:

Rs 519 for 145 ml. (Slightly high priced than other hair products but worth a try.)

I definitely recommend this product as it gives a healthy shiny look to the hair along with a deep colour. Next time I am going to try it on my hair but a different color. :)
